Designing with DoodiReplace or regenerate an image

Replace or regenerate an image

Change one image while preserving the rest of a saved design.

Replace from the library

Select the image in the artwork. Use its image control or Change image in annotation to open the current project’s library. Choose a suitable image and inspect its fit and crop. The replacement saves a new version without requiring a chat request.

Use original brand assets for logos. If the source image is missing, upload it to the correct project before replacing it.

Regenerate with AI

In annotation, select the image and choose Regenerate with AI. Add a precise instruction, such as the subject, lighting and crop. Review the scoped request in Doodi before sending it.

Replace this photograph with a sunlit coastal terrace. Keep the headline, logo, colors and layout unchanged.

Doodi generates a bitmap and applies it to the requested target. Check the actual saved image and surrounding text afterward. If you use @imagegen or ask for a sample first, Doodi follows the sample workflow instead of immediately replacing the target.

Masks and textures

Doodi can create reusable texture or mask assets for designs while keeping photographs and text as separate layers. A physical paint texture may need a generated image; clean curves and geometric shapes can remain editable vector or CSS elements.

Missing-image recovery

Wait for a transient preview retry. If an image still cannot load, open the project library and replace it with an available asset. Exports and publishing need a complete rendered design, so resolve missing media first. See troubleshooting.
