Edit text, images and other layers

Direct layer editing changes a supported element without requiring a new AI request.

Select a layer

Click text, an image or a supported shape in the artwork. The selection opens contextual properties. In annotation mode, use Direct edit on the selected element. In Template studio, properties appear in the right panel.

Edit text

Change the content, font, size, weight, line height, alignment or color using the controls available for that layer. Fonts load through the app; they do not need a separate system installation. Use an Arabic font when writing Arabic and inspect direction and line breaks.

Text changes preview immediately. A longer sentence may overflow even when the save succeeds. Adjust the layout or ask Doodi to fit the copy without changing its meaning.

Edit images and appearance

Choose a replacement image from the current project’s library. Available controls can include fit, position, opacity and effects. Shapes and icons show their own supported appearance settings. Controls depend on the source element, so not every layer exposes every property.

Autosave and session history

Changes save automatically after a brief pause. Sliders save their final adjustment on release. Undo, Redo and Reset work within the editing session. Done flushes pending changes before returning to the canvas or annotation.

A failed save keeps the draft available with Retry. A conflicting external revision requires an explicit reload; read the unsaved-change warning first.

Delete a layer

Remove layer deletes the selected supported layer and its nested content. Undo can restore it when doing so would not overwrite a newer change. Use version history for an earlier saved state.

Repeated, protected or embedded source elements may not support direct edits. Annotate them with the intended change so Doodi can revise the design source.
