Generate an image sample first
A sample lets you explore a complete visual direction in chat before creating editable canvas artwork.
Ask for a sample
Type @imagegen in the composer and select the Image Gen mention, or ask in plain language for a sample first. Include the intended copy, format, brand assets and visual direction.
@imagegen Make a sample for a calm Mediterranean travel poster. Use Sora’s logo and the exact headline “A slower kind of summer.” Show the sample before creating editable artwork.
A sample request takes priority over selected posts and queued image changes. Those queued edits remain available for later; the sample itself does not apply them.
Inspect the image
Wait for the generated bitmap to appear in chat. Open it at full size and check composition, spelling, logo treatment and whether the direction fits the brief. Ask for a revised sample if needed.
The sample is a raster image. Its text and objects are not yet separate editable layers. It remains in the conversation so you can return to the chosen direction.
Convert to editable artwork
Choose Design similar on the sample when you want Doodi to build an editable version. This is the action that adds artwork to the canvas or template workflow. Doodi reconstructs the design with editable elements; inspect the result because it may differ from the original bitmap.
Save the reference
Use Add to library and choose project or Global scope. A project save stays with that brand. A Global save can be reused across your account’s projects.
Generating a sample, saving inspiration and creating an editable design are separate steps. For changes to one image inside an existing design, use image replacement and generation.
