Attach briefs, documents and links

References tell Doodi which information to use and which visual direction to study.

Attach a file

Use the composer’s attachment control and choose a supported file. Doodi accepts common images, PDF, DOCX, XLSX, text and supported code or data files. The composer accepts up to eight reference attachments in a request. Follow the upload dialog’s size guidance.

Use a campaign brief, product sheet or spreadsheet as information. Use a screenshot, moodboard or example layout as a design reference. Images default to visual references; many documents default to information. Check the purpose before sending.

Attach a website

Paste a public link through the attachment flow. Information mode reads page content. Design-reference mode also needs a usable page screenshot. If the site blocks capture, attach a screenshot yourself or use the link as information.

A reference does not update the canvas by itself. Tell Doodi whether to summarize it, extract facts, critique the design or create artwork based on it.

Write the scope explicitly

Use the PDF for the approved itinerary. Use the attached poster only as a layout reference. Keep our logo and palette, and do not copy its prices or contact details.

This separates facts from appearance and prevents a visual reference from being treated as your business’s offer.

Reference import versus editable import

Attaching a Canva PDF to chat provides reference material. Import from Canva is a different workflow that reconstructs supported editable layers. Use Canva import when you want an editable design rather than advice or inspiration.

Reference extraction is bounded. Large documents or spreadsheets may not be read in full. Point Doodi to the relevant section and verify any facts used in the final design.
