Designing with DoodiMove, resize and rotate layers

Move, resize and rotate layers

Use on-canvas handles to position independently editable layers while keeping their content editable.

Move a layer

Select the layer and drag it inside the artwork. The movement previews immediately and saves when you release. It does not reflow sibling elements. Drag a post header instead when you want to move the entire post around the campaign canvas.

With the artwork focused, arrow keys nudge the selected layer. Hold Shift for larger steps. Avoid typing shortcuts while a text field is focused unless you intend to edit that text.

Resize

Drag a corner handle to preserve proportions. Hold Shift while dragging a corner for free scaling. Edge handles stretch one axis. Inspect the result for text wrapping and image distortion.

Inline text fragments can move independently, but resize and rotation act on their containing text block. Protected or repeated elements may not expose transform handles.

Rotate

Use the rotation handle outside the selection. Hold Shift to snap rotation to 15-degree increments. Existing transformations remain part of the saved layer styling.

Cancel or undo

Press Escape during a gesture to cancel that gesture. After a completed movement, use Undo to revert the saved step. One drag is one history step. Clicking the surrounding canvas or pressing Escape outside an active gesture clears the selection.

These controls are available in campaign artwork, project artwork and Template studio. On narrow layouts, compact properties leave room for the handles; expand or collapse the panel without losing the selected layer. See direct editing for autosave and conflict handling.
